What
will all this cost?
Adding
the profile of your horse to the database is totally FREE and will always be completely free. We don’t charge you ANYTHING!
Most
horses however don’t have a DNA profile yet. You can have this made by a lab of
your choice (just make sure there are 17 markers on it!).
We
also give you the option to have us do this for you. This way we get a discount
because we send in a lot of samples at once. The prices you will find below.
Keep
in mind that these are the prices we pay the lab. There is nothing in it for us
(yes charity still exists!)
The price per DNA profile is € 44,- incl. taxes
For
this price you get the following:
- The Van Haeringen laboratory creates a DNA profile for you.
- The DNA profile of your horse is sent to you by e-mail. (if you want to
receive the official papers at home an additional postal fee is added. Contact
us for details)

You receive a sticker which you can add to your horse’s papers proving DNA was
registered.
- The DNA profile of your horse is added to the DNA Databank and will be
compared to other profiles.(this part is free)
- We inform you of all possible matches we find concerning your horse's DNA.

When we find a possible match we inform you of this. Conclusions however can
only be made by the lab.
If you want to have a match checked by the lab and all horses involved are
registered at Van Haeringen the first parentage test is FREE. If one of the horses involved is registered at another lab
the parentage test costs €20,- incl. taxes.
Already
have a DNA profile?
If your horse already has a DNA profile we ask you to send it to us at
info@gypsyhorse-dna.com. We prefer DNA profiles with at least 17 markers on it,
but also accept profiles with less markers. When we find a possible match we
will inform you. If you then decide you want to have this possible match
checked by the lab there are costs involved. The costs for this are €20,- incl.
taxes. Of course you can also have this test done yourself and pay the lab directly.
The costs will then be higher but you don’t have to send us money. We send you
the lab results through e-mail. If you want to receive the official papers at
home an additional postal fee is added. Contact us for details.
How
do I pay?
We accept bank transfer and PayPal payments. If you want to pay with PayPal the
costs are € 2,- extra.
All
payments have to be made in advance.
